Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Marketing Manager to join our team. As the Technical Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in defining and implementing the customer journey for our products and services in the Asia Pacific region. Your primary responsibilities will include strategizing and positioning our offerings, executing marketing plans, and conducting market analysis. Additionally, you will manage new product launches, communicate market knowledge, analyse competition, and execute promotional strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a strong background in B2B marketing and a passion for technical products and solutions.

Key Objectives
  • Define, strategize, and implement the customer journey with a differentiated product and service value proposition for the target segments in Asia Pacific.
  • Position our products, services, and solutions regionally, considering the market and competitor landscape.
  • Develop and execute technical marketing plans that align with the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage New Product Launch
    • Support the development of marketing tools for new product launches, such as customer presentations, proposals, and service reports.
    • Identify target customers for new products.
    • Communicate and share successful cases across the company to capitalize on and replicate the success in other regions.
  • Communicate Market, Product, and Application Knowledge
    • Collaborate closely with product managers to thoroughly understand our products and services.
    • Create compelling product positioning that conveys their unique value proposition.
    • Discuss the relevant offerings and product's usefulness value creation to target prospects.
    • Manage the Technical Marketing SharePoint, including reviewing current materials, conducting proper re-launch to salespeople, and ensuring regular updates and communication.
    • Identify the need for external technical training to enhance product managers' and application specialists' knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct Customer and Market Analysis
    • Determine customer needs and desires through collaboration with the sales team, internal and external resources, and market research.
    • Make a bi-annual estimation of product market share using inputs from sales managers.
    • Develop product sales strategies based on gathered information.
    • Understand the current and potential users of our products and services, as well as the broader market, to best meet their needs.
    • Utilize market research data and knowledge to effectively communicate with target markets.
    • Collaborate with strategic marketing to create and distribute advertising materials in strategic media and events.
  • Competition Analysis
    • Assess the competition by comparing our products and services to those of our competitors.
    • Actively participate in developing effective strategies to manage competition and maintain our competitive edge.
  • Plan and Execute Promotional Strategies
    • Create and publish technical content, such as white papers, case studies, product briefs for seminars and magazines, etc.
    • Coordinate the development and release of case histories and technical articles.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of product demonstrations, training programs, and projects for sales staff and customers, both for existing and new product lines.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technical trends and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in chemistry/ engineering/ management/ business/ marketing / Paper technology
  • 5+ years of experience with a solid understanding of the B2B market for products, solutions, and services related to speciality chemicals/equipment, preferably in the pulp and paper industry.
  • Experience with Marketing, Strategy, Technology and Product Management is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good team player, excellent stakeholder management and intercultural awareness.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to analyze products and applications to meet customer needs.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, PowerBI and marketing software is a plus.
  • Willing to travel occasionally as required.
  • Candidates with less qualification and experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager position.
