ESG - Amazon strategic sustainability 3Ps
Our innovative products contribute to conserving resources and protecting the environment. At the same time, we help our clients manufacture with lower emissions and energy-efficiently, and assist them in enhancing the safety of their products and support their ESG goals.
Minimizing our impact on the planet means being more efficient across our operations and supply chain. Moving forward, we will evolve and guide our efforts to reduce the energy, emissions, water and waste from all aspects of our business. Our customers expect environmentally responsible products – both made and use. By reducing the environmental footprint of our products, we can meet customer expectations, stay ahead of ever-evolving regulations and do what’s right for the planet.
We are pleased to report that our employees have demonstrated commendable compassion and generosity towards the earthquake victims in Turkey-Syria. The contributions made by the employees have amounted to USD 10,000, which has been matched dollar for dollar by the company. Consequently, USD 20,000 has been donated to charitable organizations Red Cross and the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Indonesia.
To the earthquake victims of Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia.
Amazon Papyrus Chemicals provided monetary donations and daily necessities to the victims of the Cianjur earthquake in West Java, Indonesia. Through APC and the official government authorities, the fund was used to provide basic necessities, medical care, training and start-up funds to re-establish small businesses of the victims.
Amazon Papyrus Chemicals Shanghai Office donated a total of 6,368 packs of tissue and paper towels to the Shanghai Children's Welfare Home located in Zhongchun Road, Minhang District, Shanghai. As a caring entity, we will continue to care and support them.
As part of the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), Amazon Papyrus Chemicals India Office donated two ambulances to a Government Hospital in Rangareddy, Telangana. During COVID-19 pandemic situation in India, it will help the members of the society greatly.
Hand sanitizers are shortage in Thailand during Covid-19 pandemic. Amazon Papyrus Chemicals Thailand Plant distributed alcohol for hand sanitizers & cleaning, PPE and Masks to the hospitals.
Amazon Papyrus Chemicals India Office has been practicing both voluntary and mandatory CSR activities for our environment and society. Amazon India has distributed over 5,700 notebooks to over 924 students studying in a government school located near its factory premises. We are also in the process of improving drinking water facility in the schools.
As one of caring company, we periodically arrange charity activities for elderly, single parent family, orphan, etc. We intend to make a positive difference to society and contribute our share towards the social cause of betterment of society and area in which our company operates.
We operate with the greatest care for the safety, health and the environment for our employees and the countries we engage with. Our EHS policy guilds our operations in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; fostering a work culture that embraces safety and health; and holding employees, suppliers and contractors accountable for working safely. We implement our EHS Policy through our EHS management system that guides our actions and tracks key performance indicators to manage our risks and drive continuous improvement.
