Amazon Papyrus Chemicals appoints Bernhard Hackl as new COO

Dec 6, 2023 (Press Release) - Amazon Papyrus Chemicals, a leading process chemical company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Bernhard Hackl as the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective from 1 December 2023. Bernhard has extensive experience and expertise in the specialty chemicals business which makes him an invaluable addition to our company.

With a career spanning nearly three decades at WACKER, a renowned Munich-based specialty chemical company, Bernhard has a solid foundation in the field. He holds a PhD in Chemistry and began his journey with joint research between the university and the Semiconductors Division. After that, this experience propelled him to pursue a global career in the Silicones Division, where he made significant contributions across Asia, Europe, and the USA. Bernhard's leadership acumen has also been evident through his executive roles in various chemical distribution companies, where he assumed C-Suite responsibilities.

In addition to his professional achievements, Bernhard Hackl serves as the chairman of the Chemical Council in the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce. He is also one of the esteemed members of the award committee for the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE). Bernhard's dedication to fostering competencies through workplace learning aligns perfectly with our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
