Responsibilities
- Develop and grow the business via technical support
- Support the development of marketing tools for new product launches, such as customer presentations, proposals, and service reports.
- Identify target customers.
- Prepare initial trials together with sales and product development team.
- Capitalize on the overall benefits of the new product and transfer the success to other potential customers.
- On site support for troubleshooting or development of businesses.
- Communicate Market, Product, and Application Knowledge
- Work closely with product development team to acquire a thorough understanding of a product or service.
- Create product positioning that conveys its unique value proposition.
- Discuss the relevant offerings and product's usefulness value creation to target prospects.
- Jointly manage the Technical Marketing SharePoint with Commercial Marketing: reviewing the current materials, revamping the effort by conducting proper re-launch to salespeople, and regular updates and communication.
- Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Excellence and Transformation on the plans for the technical training to enrich the technical, knowledge and skills
- Conduct seminars for customers to promote the sale of company products. Plans and coordinates these seminars and makes appropriate arrangements for attending personnel, as necessary together with commercial marketing team.
- Product development support
- Recommend product/application enhancements or changes based upon market feedback and increased sales potential to product development team.
- Support and contribute ideas to Business Team Leader, Equipment Managers and Product Development team in the development of new technologies or product line.
- Application support
- Provide sufficient necessary application support to the target customers in the specific segments.
- Work with Sales team in specific projects that have Strategic Values or of high priority to specific segment(s). Ensuring meeting the sales & profit plan while securing the business for the long term.
- Provide guidelines of best practices and training of the applications to the sales team.
- Develop, enhance, and improve on application technology examples – lab evaluation, process survey, dosing programs, simulation study, technical reports and process troubleshooting - that will ensure Amazon continues to deliver value to the customers.
- Support and Advocate Company ESG Initiatives
- Strictly uphold corporate governance principles. Develop ESG-driven client solutions or proposals that incorporate ESG considerations and address sustainability challenges. Compliance with relevant ESG regulations, standards, and certifications in the industry.
- Assure that on-site employees follow company and customer safety regulations while in customer sites and facilitate appropriate safety training.
Requirements
- Bachelor or College degree in science or technical specialty or equivalent industry managerial experiences
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in pulp mill operations and specialty chemical sales
- A thorough understanding of the raw materials, pulping technologies and the processes, pulp types-Kraft, dissolving and mechanical, pulp mill and chemical recovery operations besides specialty chemical application to improve plant runnability, output, quality and environmental sustainability
- Thorough knowledge in the technicalities of Pulp process trouble shooting
- Thorough knowledge in the applications of chemicals to the Pulp and Paper Industries
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage senior management at customer organizations as well as key internal stakeholders within the company
- Excellent knowledge in data analysis, understanding the problem, conceptualizing the solution with or without the use of specialty chemicals leading to the implementation of chemical application strategy to solve customers’ problems
- Fluent in spoken and written English and knowing Mandarin will be an advantage
